Our dedicated team—General Practitioner Dr Tessa King and Sport and Exercise Medicine Registrars Dr Jack Cookson and Dr Jai Sharma—are now available for appointments Monday to Thursday.

Booking through our Acute Injury Clinic means you can avoid long wait times in the Emergency Department and access early specialist care – helping to make an accurate diagnosis, facilitate early imaging (generally Medicare-rebateable) and get a comprehensive treatment plan.

What we see at the acute injury clinic

• Sporting injuries that occurred in the past two weeks
• Soft tissue injuries, including ankle sprains, knee and shoulder injuries
• Fractures that do not appear to need immediate surgical intervention
• Minor head injuries, including suspected concussions

What we don’t see at the acute injury clinic

• Sporting injuries that are older than two weeks (these can be booked through a standard consultation)
• Injuries unrelated to sport
• Open wounds that need stitches or surgical closure
• Dislocations
• Suspected spinal or pelvic injuries
• Potential internal bleeding or injuries
